Hello friends and fellow fantasy nerds! I have a lot book-related announcements for you today.
First! The Source of Storms ebook is on big time sale starting today through May 2nd! The sale is only on Amazon and, unfortunately, only for the UK and US marketplaces. This is because of Amazon’s rules, not my choice. But if you’re in either of those places and you haven’t gotten TSOS yet, now is a great time to snag the ebook for only $0.99!
Or, if you already have it but know a friend who would love it, let them know! I’m really just trying to get it out to as many people as possible so please help me out and recommend it if you loved it. A little word of mouth goes a long way for an indie author like me.
Next, I wanted to share the playlist for The Binds of Blood. I have written the entirety of book two to this soundtrack and I love it. Every time I put it on it just pulls me right into Halja’s world. In fact, I write entire scenes and sometimes whole characters based on songs alone, and many of those songs are in this playlist. I hope you enjoy!
I also wanted to share that the audiobook of The Source of Storms has officially begun production! It will be narrated by the incredibly talented Lucy Archer-Woodcock and will be available on Audible in early August. I have heard some snippets of it so far and it is amazing. Lucy’s voice is fantastic, and I feel like she brings a unique and beautiful narration style that stands out from a lot of other audiobook narrators in the genre. I really think her narration makes my writing sound so much better. If you want to check out a sample, you can find one we just shared on my Instagram.
And finally, I have made a comprehensive pronunciation guide for book one, The Source of Storms. You can find it below. It includes all the tricky names, places, holidays, and creatures of TSOS, as well as a couple recorded examples, including a recording for Byrgir because that seems to be one people struggle with the most! An abridged version will also be in the opening pages of The Binds of Blood when it releases.
And that’s all! Thank you so much for being here and supporting my dream. I couldn’t do it without you.
